“Seeing a few of my connections like my shared posts gives me a sense of pride and accomplishment – I may have helped influence that person – that’s powerful!” – Pierce Brody, emerging LinkedIn Influencer
NEWARK – Area automation sales engineer, Pierce Brody, from Newark, New Jersey, has made it his sole resolution in 2019 to share more on LinkedIn.
“I feel like there’s just not enough stuff being shared on LinkedIn, and I can help make a difference within my network,” says Brody.
As of October 2018, LinkedIn has 590 million registered members in 200 countries, making it the largest platform for professional networking. And like many professionals across the globe, Brody has decided to use that network to better his social status and influence the world in 2019.
“I’ve amassed a large following of nearly 300 other professionals, and now it’s time that I exert my influence with that audience,” Brody adds.
Brody’s nearly 300 followers are comprised of fellow colleagues at his current, and previous, places of employment, a few college friends and family members, multiple head-hunters, an unusually large following from foreign countries such as India and Singapore, vendors, and a few actual customers.
“Every morning I wake up to see such interesting things being shared by my network, such as 5 ways to make your boss like you, or what are the secrets to succeeding in sales, and why good people quit their companies,” says Brody. “It’s just common courtesy that I share those important tidbits for success with my network as well.”
“Seeing a few of my connections like my shared posts gives me a sense of pride and accomplishment – I may have helped influence that person – that’s powerful!”
When we asked Brody if he takes the time to read the articles that are shared with him, he replied “no, I really don’t have time to read the articles, I just scan the headlines and clear the notification bubbles from my phone.”
