TALLAHASSEE – Fresh off of their victory to remove the principles of sociology as a core course in its public universities, the Florida board of education also voted unanimously to require the study of “master-slave” communications systems in electrical engineering programs.
“Higher education must return to its essential foundations of academic integrity and the pursuit of knowledge instead of being corrupted by destructive ideologies,” stated a Florida board of education spokesman.
“Master-slave communications systems are the foundation of our industrial society. These actions today ensure that we will not spend taxpayers’ money supporting DEI and radical indoctrination that promotes division in our industrial networking curriculum.”
Long thought to be divisive and exclusive terminology, the master-slave nomenclature began to be phased out of college campuses across the US.
In a press release from the state university system of Florida’s board of governors, the vote was praised for the “positive impact the return of antebellum-age master-slave communications will have on our students and their future success. We must embrace our once proud past to better prepare for our networking future”.
